Frequently asked questions
You can book a free 15-minute consultation directly through the website. During this session, we will discuss your goals, assess your needs, and recommend the most suitable programme for you.
Each programme runs for six weeks and provides participants with lifetime access to a membership platform containing all learning materials, tools, and resources. Each week includes a 20-minute virtual consultation via Zoom with a registered dietitian (Farah Ali-Islam). Throughout the programme, participants are required to submit their daily meal plans, physical activity logs, and any relevant health data (e.g., blood glucose readings) via WhatsApp. These submissions allow the dietitian to provide personalised feedback and guidance, ensuring ongoing support and progress over the full six weeks.
Yes. As a registered dietitian, I provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT), which allows me to work with individuals managing a wide range of medical conditions. This includes interpreting laboratory findings, reviewing medications, and integrating physician referrals to develop personalised nutrition plans. Using evidence-based strategies, I tailor dietary recommendations to support management of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer and other diet-related health concerns, ensuring that nutrition guidance aligns safely with your overall medical care.
Healthy eating and regular physical activity do not need to be costly. This programme focuses on practical, evidence-based strategies that fit your budget and lifestyle, using accessible foods from the Caribbean Six Food Groups and simple, low-cost ways to stay active. With planning, guidance, and small adjustments, you can achieve lasting health improvements without overspending.
Weekly sessions are an essential part of the programme. If you cannot attend, you must notify in advance to reschedule. Missed sessions should be rebooked as soon as possible to ensure continuity of personalised guidance and support. Sessions missed without prior notice may not be eligible for rescheduling.
